After an amazing response to their pop-up Iftar Buffet during Ramadhan last year, Hilton Singapore is back again – even bigger and better with more delicious makan to be savoured! It’s actually little wonder why they had a great response from diners last year – they really have a wide range of makan to be enjoyed!
Good food is not the only thing to look forward to of course. Hilton Singapore is located in the heart of Orchard Road and boasts amazing sunset views as you break your fast at a newly renovated space on the 24th (and highest!!) level of the hotel. FUYOH WHAT A VIEW!! ???
This pop-up Iftar Buffet is specially certified Halal by MUIS just for Ramadhan and this means it’s even easier for you to decide on Hilton Singapore as your venue of choice for Iftar.
We’re talking about a sumptuous and wide-ranging buffet spread that will feature your favourites and a few surprises too. Besides a Seafood & Oyster Bar, a whole range of Salads and international cuisine (such as Indian, Moroccan, Chinese and Japanese!) – be sure to look out for over 90 Buka Puasa Specials featuring your favourite traditional makan including a LIVE Penang Assam Laksa Station too!
They even have not one, not two but SIX LIVE Carving stations! These include Whole Roasted Beef Sirloin, Roasted Whole Baby Lamb and even.. Ramly Burger!!
Okay hold on hold on! More on that a little later okay LOL for now let’s start right at the beginning as we break down all that the Hilton Singapore Pop Up Iftar Buffet has to offer.
Let’s unleash the feast! π
Start off with some familiar favourites including fresh seafood (OYSTERS!!) and an assortment of salads. Sushi is always welcome of course π
And I don’t know about you but Rojak is ALWAYS one of my faves at buffets! Just be considerate and don’t take all the You Tiao at one go okay π
They’ve also got Kueh Pie Tee and Popiah available too. If you’re having choosing between the two, we suggest… that you have BOTH π Anyways it’s a great way to start off your feast before moving onto the heavier dishes.
Quite a variety of Dim Sum to chomp on as well plus freshly grilled Satay and Otah-Otah too. We highly recommend that you enjoy some of their Bubur Lambuk Daging which is a seasonal dish for Ramadhan. If you’re looking for something stronger, try the Soup Kambing (enjoy with bread!)! In case the kiddies don’t fancy any of those, Mushroom Soup to the rescue π
The Laksa is another dish you should not miss! Don’t worry about making it – the friendly Hilton chefs are on standby to assist to whip up a fresh, piping hot bowl for you!
And believe it or not – we’ve only just covered the Starters only π
Before we get to the Mains, we’re gonna cover the LIVE stations and boy oh boy you’re in for a treat!
The Whole Roasted Baby Lamb is always a treat and this year, we’re lucky to be treated to it again at Hilton Singapore’s Pop Up Iftar Buffet π Well-marinated and roasted to perfection! Best enjoyed with the Mint Chutney served on the side!
Also back again this year is the Whole Roasted Sirloin – bound to be a big hit with all you meat lovers! Sliced to order and best enjoyed with some roasted vegetables!
The final LIVE station is something familiar… but not quite the LIVE station you might be expecting.. But it’s GOOD!
Yasssssssssssssssss RAMLY BURGER FTW!!
They’ve got Ramly Burgers grilling fresh on the.. errr.. grill! And it’s even got the ‘Special’ Egg wrap too! Add on some lettuce, chili sauce and mayonnaise and you’re all set!
Now that’s one SATISFYING LIVE station if I ever saw one π
And now, on to the Mains!
You’ve got a wide range of more than 90 Buka Puasa Specials including traditional favourites from cuisines such Malay, Indonesian and Indian! There’s even more international fare to be enjoyed such as Turkish and Middle Eastern which were super popular during last year’s buffet.
Take your pick of your favourite Middle Eastern cuisine! They’ve got some pretty interesting and unique choices available including Labneh (a yoghurt-y cheese) and a number of Tagine dishes too. But who can resist familiar faves like Hummus and Babaganoush am I right?
Well, when all is said and done (and eaten), it’s time to access that special compartment in our stomach reserved especially for dessert. Hey come on, there’s always space for dessert right? π
Now that I think about it, it’d better be a pretty big secret compartment because there’s LOADS of desserts to choose from! Fresh fruits, Nyonya Kueh, a Chocolate Fondue Fountain, ice-cream and even some hot desserts too!
Definitely a MUST TRY is the famous Hilton Cheesecake! π
