Here’s a quick flashback to our last trip to Japan (specifically Tsukiji Market) which was in 2018. Seems like so long ago as I type this now in 2021… Who knows when lah we can travel again so here’s looking back fondly at good memories 🙂 Managed to get a new video done for our [THE LOST JAPAN VIDEOS] series. We filmed a lot and then I misplaced the hard drive that was holding the footage. I finally found it in 2020 and decided there’s no harm in just sharing our experiences right?
Here’s to our visit to Tsukiji Market. We’d actually visited before but it was quite rainy the first time in 2017. This 2nd visit in 2018 was much better but good weather also meant a larger crowd. Well, we still got some pretty good sights and experiences in. Really enjoyed our meal at Kakigoya Tsukiji カキ小屋築地 aka Oyster House!
It is important to note (as with all travel) that not everything you see is going to be Halal. It’s important that we #AskTheQuestion so that we can make an informed decision on whether it’s suitable for consumption or not. These days, it’s much easier with translation apps and travel guides from the likes of Halal Gourmet app/website by Halal Media Japan. In the end, it’s an individual responsibility. If doubtful (aka was-was), then best to avoid 🙂
I hope you enjoy this short video and photos we snapped at Tsukiji.
