TASTE TEST: Daebak Ghost Pepper Black Noodles

I don’t know what possessed me to try these (in)famous noodles but I guess.. YOLO 😛

The Daebak Ghost Pepper Black Noodles has made quite a name for itself alongside other super spicy noodles like the Samyang Fire & Atomic Noodles and even the recent addition to the ‘Pedas Giler Gang’ – Maggi Hotheads.

The Ghost Pepper measures about 1,000,000 SHUs on the Scoville Heat Index (and that’s not even at the top of the chart yet!) Compare that to our spicy Chili Padi which is at about 100,000 SHUs and you’ll have a rough idea on how spicy it is. Well, one thing is for sure – this is not for the faint-hearted. I salute those who can finish one (or even more) cup. But at the same time, I think to myself “What the hell are y’all thinking sia???”?

Daebak Ghost Pepper Black Noodles are available at most supermarkets and hypermarts. The ones over in Malaysia are a good place if you can’t find them in Singapore. Be sure to find the ones with the Halal logo. If I remember correctly, I got mine in Singapore and it was like $3 per cup or something like that.

***WARNING***
DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH OR CANNOT HANDLE SPICY FOOD!
