In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new entry on the Peri-o-Meter at Nando’s! I know we’re all (most of us anyways :P) fans of EXTRA HOT ? but it’s time to say hello to SMOKY! (For a limited time anyways)
From now until March 2019, you can still enjoy that great signature Nando’s PERi-PERi flavour but with more of a smoky kick. I guess it’s only natural especially since we’ve always enjoy that great smoky, charry flavour thanks to Nando’s flame-grilled chicken. Just think of this as a notch in the right direction 😛
Time to gather up the gang for that year-end makan sesh!
Nando’s has got this great Smoky PERi-PERi Platter (which we’ll talk more about in a bit) which we tried. It’s got pretty much all you need to satisfy the ‘smoky’ cravings of 4 hungry people 😀
This limited-time platter comes with 1 WHOLE Smoky PERi-PERi Chicken, 1 Garlic Cheesy Pita, 4 bottomless Coca-Cola Freestyles plus you get to choose 5 Regular Sides! Now THAT’S what I call a FEAST!
I have to say that the flavour was actually really good. Like I said earlier, it kinda enhances the smoky flavour we’ve always enjoyed with our Nando’s PERi-PERi chicken but a little bit more obvious. But having said that, it’s not overpowering and you still enjoy that great flavour you love. Plus – nobody said you can’t enjoy it with some EXTRA HOT PERi-PERi sauce on the side 😀
And speaking of sides!
You get to choose 5 Sides with your Platter and there’s plenty to go around. We went with the Spicy Rice, Coleslaw and PERi-PERi Chips which are always popular choices 😀 But we’d also highly recommend the Chargrilled Vegetables and Smoky PERi PERi Portobello Mushroom Bowl which add to the smoky flavours of the platter.
Of course, there are other Sides like the Garlic Bread and Corn-on-the-Cob that are great too. And I know I didn’t get a photo but the Garlic Cheesy Pita is REALLY GOOD!
I know we had a WHOLE chicken to share but I simply must rave about the Smoky PERi PERi Chicken Wings for a bit because they were simply AMAZEBALLS 😛 I know the Smoky PERi PERi Chicken was good but there’s just something about chicken wings am I right?
Well, trust us on this one – order some of the chicken wings! 😀
This special platter is great for sharing with your Nando’s kakis. But don’t worry – they also have smaller servings in case you want that great Smoky PERi PERi flavour all to yourself 😛 You can even enjoy it with other Nando’s Signatures like the Espetada, Pulled Chicken Rice Bowl and Chicken Breast Burger among others.
I’ve got my set of Nando’s kakis and I hope I manage to gather them all for the feast before it ends. The special Smoky PERi PERi flavours are flaming at all Nando’s outlets until March 2019 so you’d better hurry.
Now that I think about it – if my kakis can’t make it, I’ll just go back myself lah 😛
