If you’re craving some delicious Korean food with a twist – REJOICE! Namu Bulgogi is officially certified Halal! They’re Singapore’s first ever Korean Oakwood Smoke-Grill restaurant and serving up an amazing array of dishes. Their menu features their signature oakwood smoke-grilled meats, hot favourites and event some modern hits too. There’s something for everyone on their extensive menu.
Conveniently located at Tampines 1 (because East side is the best side π).Β Time to gather up your makan kakis and get your flame on π₯.
Korean cuisine has become a firm favourite over the years for sure. Namu Bulgogi’s unique concept is taking things to the next level! Premium ingredients are kissed by the flames and smoke of their special, signature Oakwood grill. The result is a smoky and extra sedap flavour to your dishes.
Whether it’s succulent seafood or tender meats, prepare to have a flavour adventure Namu Bulgogi style π. When I visited, I enjoyed a special ‘Namu Signature Set’ priced at $59. The best thing is that some of the dishes can be swapped with other dishes too. Don’t worry – I’ll recommend some other faves that are not part of the set too.

We’re starting off nice and easy with some starters. The Haemul Pancake is the perfect way to begin your feast at Namu Bulgogi. It’s nice and crispy on the outside and it gives a perfect bite. Enjoy with the special dipping sauce on the side for maximum shiokness!
Other popular Side Dishes include Tteokbokki with homemade Kimari, Truffle Fries, Gochujang or Soy Garlice Fried Chicken Chunks and Cheesy Gyeran Jjim too.
PRO TIP: You can also add extra kick to your Sides with some Kimchi on the side! Speaking of which..

Enjoy FREE FLOW of Kimchi and Radish Banchan! (White Rice is FREE FLOW too btw!)
The bottom line is that you simply cannot miss out on these staples at your table. They add flavour to and even complete your meal so enjoy the free flow! And in case you haven’t tried Potato Quail Egg Jangjorim, I can tell you that I definitely enjoyed it. It’s quail eggs and stewed potato cubes bathing in a light soy sauce. Super sedap but take note – you enjoy one complimentary round of that one ok!

Up next is a hot favourite – the OSG Spicy Baby Octopus. And in case you haven’t figured it out, the OSG stands for Oakwood Smoke-Grilled π
That’s right these little cuties are give the nice smoky treatment (that’s them in the first pic of the post!) before being finished off on the grill pan with some extra ingredients to give it that spicy kick on top of that smoky flavour. The spiciness level is not too high so you can still enjoy the subtle flavours and the succulent seafood.

I know for a fact that this one is a big favourite at Namu Bulgogi. The 2-in-1 OSG Chicken with Corn Cheese is not only tasty and gives you not one but TWO types of grilled chicken.. It’s also a rare chance where you get to ‘play’ with your food thanks to that melty gooey cheese!
Enjoy the best of both worlds with a spicy and a non-spicy Oakwood Smoke-Grilled chicken (I really like the spicy one!). If you’re a cheese lover like me, it’s the perfect pairing with the melted cheese river. The cheese is rich, creamy and has corn mixed in too for extra flavour. Dip your chicken in the river of cheese and pull that cheesy trail straight into your mouth ππΌ. The kids are gonna love this one too!
Other Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Chicken dishes include the OSG Spicy Jeyuk Chicken and OSG Soy Garlic Chicken too.

Before I had personally visited Namu Bulgogi, I’d received quite a few MUST HAVE recommendations from readers and friends who had visited before me. One dish that came up repeatedly was the OSG Oxtail and for good reason!
The oxtail starts off on the Oakwood Smoke Grill and then it’s finished off with a delicious gravy on a hotplate. The result is a bubbling, smoky serving of super tender oxtail that simply melts in your mouth π€€. I can see why everyone recommended this dish so highly and I’m definitely a fan of the OSG Oxtail.
PRO TIP: Best enjoyed #HotHotShiokShiok ok!
The original dish for this Namu Signature Set was the Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Bulgogi but I topped up for the Oxtail and it was so worth it. You may also enjoy Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Beef Galbi on the menu too!

Rounding off an epic feast at Namu Bulgogi with two more fan favourites. If you wanna upgrade from your white rice then I’d recommend the Seafood Fried Rice. Packed with plenty of seafood and sure to complement your other dishes too. If you’d like to skip rice altogether and enjoy some noodles, then look for the Spicy Jeju Ramyeon, Kimchi Ramyeon (both with Chicken, Beef or Seafood options) and even Chapagetti too!
Now we’re onto one of the ultimate dishes when it comes to comfort food. The Seafood Sundubu Jjigae is simply irresistible when you need a bubbling, hot, comforting, flavourful, shiok serving of Korean stew. Slurp up that delicious shiok Kimchi broth and all those goodies bathing in the bubbly goodness ππΌ.
The original Sundubu Jjigae features goodies like tender OSG chicken but you can top-up for the Seafood version which is what I had. Other Korean stews you’ll find on the menu include the Doenjang Jjigae (with OSG Beef!), Jeju Haemul Seaweed Jjigae and Kimchi Jjigae (with OSG Chicken).
There are plenty more delicious dishes to enjoy on the menu at Namu Bulgogi of course! But take this as a good starting point for your makan adventures there π. As you explore the menu there, I’m sure you’ll find your new favourite in no time.
It’s time to make some plans with friends and loved ones especially if they love Korean food. I’m sure they’ll be super impressed that you recommended such a unique concept like Name Bulogi and their signature Oakwood Smoke-Grill
