It’s little wonder why it’s so popular – serving up awesome dishes at great value PLUS their signature delicious Japanese Curry 😁. Well, they’ve got some great Ramadan specials and I got to check it out firsthand!
That my friends, is the the awesome sight of the Monstrous Bundle from Monster Planet 😮
It’s supposed to be good for 4 pax but after I went through what’s in the platter, it may even be suitable for 5-6 pax to share this one. That means value for money plus a guarantee of a hearty meal for Iftar!
There’s plenty to share and something for everyone in this Monstrous Bundle. It even comes with a side dish, not one but TWO desserts and even a 1.5 litre tower of drink! Let me run it down for y’all..
Plenty of tasty treats in this platter to be enjoyed and a very diverse range too! We’ve got tender Roasted Chicken Thigh, breaded Fried Shrimps succulent Lemongrass Chicken, crisp Salmon Fry, Cheesy Chicken Sausages, Homemade Meatless Popcorn Salad and tasty Tako Balls.
FUYOH I told you that was quite a spread right! Enjoy all of that with a generous serving of Japanese Rice! I like the way that the items are so diverse so there’s really something for everyone to share. The Roasted Chicken Thigh is gonna be a big hit but there’s also Lemongrass Chicken too. I’m sure there will be plenty of fans of the Salmon Fry for sure (I know I am!). Even the kids are covered with the Cheesy Chicken Sausages and Tako Balls 💪🏼
Oh! And I highly recommend the Meatless Popcorn Salad which actually has a meatless chicken ingredient. See if you can tell the difference ok!
What undeniably ties all of them together is the signature demi-glace Japanese curry…
Although it can be quite a rarity, I’ve had my fair share of Japanese Curry over the years. There have been some good ones and.. some not so good ones 😅 I think the challenge is finding that balance of sweet and creamy while ultimately maintaining that spice and flavour of the curry. Well, I have good news for you – the curry at Monster Planet is SEDAP GILER!!
Absolutely delicious flavour and the perfect consistency makes all the difference here. You can even choose the spiciness level of your curry at Monster Planet! Start at Level 0 and go all the way up to Level 5. Those little hearts on the curry actually denote the spicy level! I tried both just to test the difference between the two. I think Level 0-1 should be no issue for the kids actually. As a lover of spice, I naturally will go for the higher levels for that extra kick 🔥 But even though it gets more spicy as you go higher, you’re still able to enjoy the intense flavours of the curry itself which is awesome.
(By the way, even though menu shows max Level 5, I heard that they can actually go up to Level 99 upon request 😮)
As if everything on the platter was not enough, Monster Planet is generous to include a side dish too 🤣. And everyone loves some fried Mozzarella Cheesesticks am I right! And you know it’s a great Mozzarella Cheesestick when the stretch is so long that it doesn’t fit in the picture frame LOL!
There’s also a pair of desserts for you to fight over share as you end your epic meal on a sweet note.
The Ondeh-Ondeh Honey Toast is version of the popular dessert you’ve probably not tried before. It’s actually quite shiok to enjoy those toasty bread cubes with the coconut, gula melaka, pandan sauce and Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice-cream. But to be honest, I’m leaning more towards the Churros Banana Chocolate Parfait. There’s just something about that chocolate-banana combo that does it for me 😬
And to wash everything down, you have a 1.5 litre tower of beverage! Choose either the classic Bandung or the refreshing Citrus and dispense from your ‘rocket tower’ as and when you need a refill.
Now that’s what I call a MONSTER-SIZED FEAST! The Monstrous Bundle is priced at $99 and is recommended for 4 pax. You could probably share it between 5-6 pax because it’s a super generous serving and also if you’re ordering other dishes. They also have a Sharing Set for 2 pax too by the way with Chicken Katsu, Beef Shabu Shabu and other goodies.
The sets are available at Monster Planet restaurants located at Causeway Point, Centrepoint, JEM and Paya Lebar Square. You can enjoy it for takeaway or delivery on your fave delivery platforms. I think this is best enjoyed hot-hot shiok-shiok lah. It’s time to gather up your makan kakis and feed your MONSTER appetite! 😝
