Woo hoo! We’re back and we’re so done with Raya! 😛
LOL that’s a lie lah we’re still in the mood for some Raya makan especially if it’s tasty!
We know a lot of you probably still have guests due over at your place in the remaining couple of weeks of Raya (because… we literally need the whole month for visiting lah right) and in case you’re looking to take a little bit of hassle out of your Raya, we’ve got a tip for you – why not get a really good caterer and you’re all settled! No need to cook – just pakai baju kurung only!
We had some family coming over so it was the perfect time to try out a new caterer for the first time – On & On Diners! They’ve got some really impressive menus available (which you can see on their site) including this Hari Raya Mini Buffet which is perfect for the season.
To be honest, they call it a ‘mini buffet’ but it’s REALLY generous lah! It’s a lot of food that’s perfect for all your guests because they have something for everyone from traditional flavours to some special dishes too! (Did someone say Salted Egg?)
Just check out that spread! Ayam Masak Merah, Lamb Rendang, Ikan Lemak Chilli Padi, Sambal Prawns with Petai, Sambal Gorneg Pegantin, Homemade Begerdil, Teriyaki Cuttlefish Balls, Sayor Lodeh, Mee Goreng Mamak Style and some Steamed White Rice too. We also added some additional dishes namely Buttery Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings, Honey Glazed Sesame Chicken, Sweet & Sour Fish with Nata De Coco 😀
All the dishes come in these handy bento boxes where you just need to pop open the cover and serve (or heat it up first if you’d like!). Oh! And comes with serving utensils and disposable plates and cutlery too!
FUYOH talk about a super spread! And you can see that there’s really a lot of food! The serving above is meant for about 15 pax but it could easily feed 20 lah to be honest! Value for money for sure 😀
And of course, they operate all-year round so even if it’s not for Raya, check out their other menus which can be enjoyed for any occasion anytime.
So the Hari Raya Mini Buffet is priced at about $13.90 per pax with a minimum of 15 pax ($14.87 per pax with GST!). It has 10 courses which you get to choose from several different dishes for each category. For example – not in the mood for Sayur Lodeh? Perhaps the Sambal Goreng or Sautéed Broccoli & Cauliflower might suit you better? Wok Fried Black Pepper Prawns w Bell Peppers instead of Sambal Prawns? There’s really plenty to choose from.
