I remember the first time we visited Famous Satay Burger. It was 2010 and they were located at one of the stall at the Geylang Serai Bazaar. And almost a decade later, they are still going strong! They are really the OG when it comes to Satay Burgers in Singapore lah! Not only have they grown, they’ve got plenty of new and innovative items on their menu too!
This year, they’re located at 2 locations during Ramadhan – the Hari Bazaar at Our Tampines Hub and also the bazaar at Sultan Gate. So if you’re itching for a fix of your favourite Famous Satay Burger, you know where to go! π
We’ve visited the one at Our Tampines Hub a few times already and we figured we’d show you some of the new items they have. Although the Satay Burger remains our tip pick, perhaps you might wanna try something new?
We tried a few of their Wraps which are relatively new on the menu. We tried only 3 but there are actually more on the menu! And of course, they have different meats to choose from π
The Rendang Dendeng Wrap and the Mutton Traditional Wrap are perfect for all you meat lovers and also for those looking to savour some traditional flavours. But my personal favourite was actually the Chicken Cheese Wrap π Somehow, the tender chunks of Satay Chicken go really well with the creamy cheese sauce. SEDAP GILER!
They’ve had their Big John’s Sausage Range for about a year now and they’ve expanded with even more flavours to satisfy all your cravings. The Beefy Rendang Sausage is a great example of meat on meat that’s bound to satiate your inner carnivore LOL
A beef sausage is topped off with their special Rendang Sauce!
JENG JENG JENG!
This is the big daddy of them all! For all you Satay Burger fans – it’s time to level up and get a DOUBLE! You can of course choose which meat patty you’d like (i.e. Chicken or Beef or Venison) but this time, we went for the Lamb.
Some of you may remember that they used to have Mutton on the menu right? Well, that’s been replaced by Lamb. This results in a fuller, more robust flavour (also thanks to the Satay marination) and definitely an excellent bite when you chomp down π
Double patty plus a slice of lontong plus veggies and loads of onions = POWER!
And trust me – it tastes as good as it looks! Just check out this video!
Yassssssssssss I managed to one-bite this massive burger π
But yes, it’s kinda messy so… don’t wear white okay cos you might be wearing some Satay sauce if you’re not careful!
Don’t forget – Famous Satay Burger is located at TWO locations this Ramadhan! So head down to the Hari Raya Bazaar at Our Tampines Hub (look for the Arena @ OTH) where they have loads of tables and seating for you to enjoy your food there. 2nd location is at Sultan Gate along the Masjid Sultan stretch!
Go and support your local food businesses everyone!
