True fans of great steak REJOICE! I’m sure that Eatzi Gourmet Steakhouse & Bistro is a name familiar with many. But in case you were unaware – it is actually the Halal-certified sibling restaurant of the legendary Jack’s Place!
Jack’s Place is undoubtedly known for its top quality premium steaks and Western cuisine. That same quality and delicious menu can be enjoyed at Eatzi Gourmet Steakhouse & Bistro. Besides the great steaks, there are actually plenty more delicious dishes to be enjoyed π.
We’re gonna start with some Starters and here’s one that is perfect for sharing! The Crispy Sampler Platter has got plenty of tasty treats for everyone to enjoy. You can savour some Golden Wings, Onion Rings plus crabsticks and mushrooms that have been battered and fried to a nice and crisp golden brown. You can enjoy with some cheese dip on the side if you’d like.
One thing is for sure – sharing is caring and this is one of the several options on the menu that’s perfect to share with your makan kakis.
More delicious Starters to enjoy come in the form of the Cheesy Baked Meatballs and Curly Truffle Fries with Parmesan Cheese. The Cheesy Baked Meatballs feature handmade beef meatballs bathing in a delicious Marinara sauce and topped with plenty of cheese! And let’s be honest – you cannot go wrong with some Fries. Next time, I’m definitely gonna try the Lobster & Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Mentaiko Fries and Crispy Calamari Rings! There are plenty more Starters, Soups and Salads for you to enjoy as well.
If you’re like me and want to makan EVERYTHING then the Surf & Turf Platter might just be the perfect choice! It’s got everything you need for a feast! Indulge in some of Eatzi Gourmet’s best N.Z Striploin, chicken steak, slipper lobster, tempura prawns, fish fingers and cheesy sausage.
Crown that with their signature Baked Potato (comes with the works!) seasonal vegetables on the side plus brown sauce and Tartar sauce to accompany your meats and seafood. There’s plenty to satisfy everyone’s cravings with this sharing platter!

Eatzi Gourmet & Bistro continues the signature tradition of serving sizzling hotplates. In fact, it’s been a mainstay since 1966! That legacy continues with a fine range of sizzling delights on the menu.
I enjoyed the Sizzling Chicken Steak and Mixed Grill very much. Very generous servings especially with the accompaniments on the side. Sizzling hot is just the perfect way I love to enjoy my meats including steaks! Needless to say, enjoy while the meats and sauces are still sizzling for maximum SEDAP π₯.
You can also enjoy sizzling sensations like N.Z Lamb Chops, Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter, Black Pepper Steak, N.Z Ribeye Steak, N.Z T-Bone Steak and loads more.
If you are looking for something a little lighter, Eatzi Gourmet & Bistro has got you covered too. They’ve got an excellent range of dishes on the menu including poultry, seafood, pasta dishes, pies and even Fried Rice dishes too. Spoiler alert: I’m gonna try the Grandma’s Braised Beef Stew on my next visit π.

As always, a sweet ending to any feast is always preferred. And as always, Eatzi Gourmet Steakhouse & Bistro does not disappoint. There’s a whole host of desserts to enjoy including Apple Pie ala Mode, Brownies, Cheesecake, Ice Cream and more!
I went with some Mousse Cups (which reminded me so much of Panna Cotta) and also a classic Waffle ala Mode. I had to activate my special ‘dessert stomach’ after such an epic feast π. But it was totally worth it – the perfect capper to an excellent meal.
