Oh Dione… I’m not even going to start about how much I LOVE ice-cream. But I am going to start by asking you a question… Don’t you find yourselves spoiled for choice when it comes to ice-cream these days? I guess that’s probably why it’s such a joy when you discover a great new one right? π
Well, what a joy it was when we tried Dione Ice Cream for the first time.
But wait… Dione who?
Dione Ice Cream is actually from Lithuania (WOW!). That’s a mighty long way for ice-cream but it’s so worth it. They’ve actually been around since 1950 (same year my Dad was born!) so I’d say they know a thing or two about making quality ice-cream π
And besides the fact that they’ve got great ice-cream, they’re also certified Halal!
Okay so they’ve got two ways you can enjoy your Dione Ice Cream. You can have your ice-cream in a tub or you can have your ice-cream on a stick. Whatever you choose, you know it’s gonna be awesome right?
When it comes to the tubs, they’ve got 3 premium flavours for you to choose from. Take your pick from – Vanilla Macchiato (great for all you coffee lovers), Vanilla Salted Caramel and Chocolate Crema Di Nocciole (which actually translates to Chocolate Hazelnut Cream).
Let me tell you – this ice-cream is luxuriously creamy! All that thanks to the fact that they use only top quality ingredients in their ice-cream PLUS there are no artificial additives or preservatives in Dione Ice Cream. Things like ‘Real Belgian Chocolate’ and ‘Natural Vanilla’ really do count for something and make a difference you know. Such are the standards of this ice-cream!
On top of that, the flavours itself are really bold especially against the creamy texture.
I’d like to say that you should share all good things but you’ll probably end up wanting this all for yourself π
Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the really nice packaging these treats come in (they really went all out).
If you prefer your ice-cream on a stick, you’re in luck because Dione has that too! They have 3 different flavours and you get 1 of each in the box so nothing is left out.
2 of the flavours are actually the same as the ice-cream you get in the tubs. Vanilla Salted Caramel and Chocolate Crema Di Nocciole are great choices. Both classic and really really tasty. But I’d like to rave a little bit about the 3rd flavour.
The Vanilla Triple Berry was so SEDAP!!! I do kinda gravitate towards berries when it comes to ice-cream and this one cements my stance. There’s just something about the contrast of flavours – a creamy Vanilla, a rich bold chocolate and that little bit of fresh tang from the berries. SHIOK!
I could see myself indulging in a couple of these at a time because they’re that good π
(The 3 berries are Strawberry, Raspberries and Blackcurrants by the way)
You can get your hands (and mouths) on Dione Ice Cream from a few places. You can head down to NTUC FairPrice, Cheers and Sheng Siong if you’re out doing shopping. If you get your groceries delivered to you, then maybe ordering your Dione Ice Cream on Redmart may just be your thing.
Could Dione Ice Cream possibly be the BEST dessert discovery for me this year? YES.
