If I had to describe Busy Bowl in one word, it would be… amazeballs amaze-bowls!
Do you like Rice Bowls? I love Rice Bowls! It’s great that we have quite a few options nowadays (and growing!) but I think we may have just had some of the BEST Rice Bowls we’ve ever had so far! Quality ingredients, great flavour and they even deliver to your doorstep 😀
Busy Bowl is Muslim-owned and they serve up a few specialty items. You may see surprises offered from time to time (like their Chicken Pies and Cottage Pies!) but we’re here to tell you about their Rice Bowls. They come in either Beef or Chicken, both done in Bulgogi style with a few extras to make this Rice Bowl ‘busy’!
You’ve got a generous serving of rice along with tender meat that’s been marinated and prepared with some amazing flavour. Some veggies on the side for some fresh crunch plus a gorgeous Onsen Egg (more on that later!) 😛
You’ve got a choice of either Beef (they use premium striploin!) or Chicken – both are marinated overnight in Bulgogi marinade which means it’s got that delicious flavours soaked up nice and good. More flavour added when it’s cooked and just the sight of the meats slathered in the Bulgogi spices will get your mouth watering for sure! They’ve got some Gochujang sauce in there too by the way!
Pssssst I’m not 100% sure but I read that you can ask it to be extra spicy too 😀
Oooooohhhhh that glorious Onsen Egg ?
I think this is what ties the whole Rice Bowl together.. you’ve all the other tasty ingredients for sure but that golden runny yolk kinda binds everything together and even adds to the overall experience as you enjoy your Rice Bowl.
After you’ve spent some time admiring your Rice Bowl (and snapping the obligatory photos and Boomerang of the jiggly Onsen Egg for your Instagram), it’s time to mix everything up into a great big beautiful mess before you dig in.
Busy Bowl seems to incorporate a bit of Japanese/Korean fusion concepts into their Rice Bowls so think of this as kinda like a Bibimbap 😀 The bowl that comes with is microwave-able but our advice is to enjoy this ASAP while it’s fresh and warm for maximum enjoyment!
Hmmmm… I do wish there was a bit more Gochujang though.. Maybe can try asking for extra when ordering 🙂
BONUS ROUND
Wah! Their Bulgogi Chicken Pasta Bowl also quite power leh! It’s Spaghetti paired with some Bulgogi Chicken and that delicious Bulgogi sauce. And don’t forget the Onsen Egg! Great flavours and a hearty meal all in one bowl. In fact, this would be great for the kiddies who may not fancy a Rice Bowl.
For all you Beef lovers, sorry but this one for now only comes in Chicken option but it’s really power so you’ve gotta try it okay!
We’ve tried just 3 dishes from Busy Bowl and we’re already loving it. I mean like, this is legit one of the BEST Rice Bowls (and Pasta Bowls) we’ve had and it’s so exciting to see they’ve got more on their menu to suit everyone’s tastes. Pies, Pastas, Vegan options and even traditional dishes like their own version of Nasi Lemak! It’s even more amazing when you realize they’re churning out all this amazing food from home! 😀
Busy Bowl opens up orders regularly so what you need to do is follow them on Facebook and Instagram to keep updated. You can also drop them a DM anytime to enquire. Pre-order early to avoid disappointment okay! Totally worth it!
