I love Hong Kong style Beef Noodles. And when I say love, I mean LOVE LOVE LOVE it β€οΈ I used to get my fix from the old HK Beef Noodles stall at the Toa Payoh Fork & Spoon food court but that’s been long gone for ages. Well, if you have not yet had the pleasure, please allow me to introduce you to Brisket King Beef Noodles.
And take it from me – this is the legit real deal super duper sedap giler π
Wooooooooooooooooooo have I mentioned yet that I LOVE HK-style Beef Noodles?!
A nice big hearty bowl of beef noodles really hits the spot lah! This one was awesome maximum. The menu even has several combination types and you can also choose Dry or Soup. I went with my fave Dry Noodles with Beef + Tendon combo π₯
I could go on and on about the beef but I think what they say is true (at least in this case)…
A picture tells the story of a thousand words. And beef.
I think a lot of people might have the ‘Soup’ version as their top choice because the photos on the menu signboard look so good π€£ And I definitely would not fault you for that. But I guess my preferred choice is the ‘Dry’ version which is still wet but it’s just a lot thicker. And to me, thicker means more flavourful too.
Whether it’s Dry or Soup, the base is that rich and hearty Beef Stock which they obviously put a lot of work into.Very tasty with hints of beefiness paired with saltiness and it’s oh sooooo good! But I feel it’s important to mention something – I was informed that the Beef Stock also includes some Mutton stock in there which is also partly why the stock is so packo full of flavour. And I’m mentioning it because I know some people cannot take/consume Mutton for whatever reason so please take note if that’s you!
Besides Beef, Beef Tendon and Beef Tripe, you might also want to consider the Beef Ribs or the Beef Balls. The funny thing is that it only comes as part of the Beef Ball Noodles which is $4.00. If you want the Beef Balls separately as a soup (maybe to accompany your Beef Noodles or what) then you can have the Beef Ball Soup which is ALSO $4.00 π And for that serving size, maybe best to share ah…
Anyways, whatever your choice – it’s beef and it’s delicious and that’s what’s important here LOL
But they also have Mutton Soup on the menu which is basically Mutton meat with that same tasty broth.
Probably the next biggest decision you’ll have to make is what type of noodles you’d like to go with your beef!
They’ve got a few to choose from – Bee Hoon (as pictured above) which I find is nice and slurpy, Mee Kia (like your Wanton Mee), Kway Teow (the thin variety) and even Ban Mian too. Or, you could just go with Rice π
Well, there you go kiddies. Our take on Brisket King Beef Noodles which as close as we can get to the taste in our memories. A more than decent bowl of noodles that we’d highly recommend. Just wish they’d open an outlet or 2 closer to the East LOL
And yes, plenty of other Beef Noodles to try out. Insya Allah we’ll try out more. We’d better get moo-ving! *crickets*
