Rejoice all buffet lovers! Atrium Restaurant has finally been certified Halal! Centrally located at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium in Outram Road, this amazing buffet spread was only available to us especially during Ramadhan in recent years. Well, we have to wait no longer as they have attained firm MUIS Halal-certification for their restaurant!

A very generous and spacious area ensures a comfortable and relaxed dining experience. A delicious and diverse buffet spread means a satisfying makan session is in store for all! It’s really the perfect choice whether you’re looking for an intimate meal or even for that next big group makan session 😀 Time to gather up the makan kakis!

A plethora of food awaits and we’re going to run it down with you. First of all, we’d like to highlight the SIGNATURE DISHES!

Fried Carrot Cake

Roti Prata

Satay
Laksa
Shawarma
Chicken Rice

As you explore the buffet spread at Atrium Restaurant, be on the look out for their Signature offerings. You’ll find them in different sections throughout the line-up.

Fried Carrot Cake (my fave Black type!), Roti Prata (LIVE station with expert prata flipper on duty), Satay, Chicken/ Lamb Shawarma, Laksa (from the Noodles Station) and the very special Hainanese Chicken Rice (both Roasted & Steamed Chicken available!).

You’ll probably be able to find a few more of your favourites for sure! Anyways, here’s the rest of the spread 😀

Seafood On Ice

Assorted Sushi
Smoked Fish Platter

Slow Baked Salmon

The first stop is actually one of the favourites for a lot of people I know 😛

The Seafood On Ice spread boasts the freshest Poached Tiger Prawns, Australia Black Mussels, Half Shell Scallops and Sweet Clams! If that’s not enough, get your fill of Assorted Sushi and my personal fave – the Smoked Fish Platter!

And of course, the crowning glory to start your meal of is the Whole Fish on Ice! A slow-baked Salmon is laid out in all its glory and bets enjoyed with the accompanying condiments and sauces on the side!

Salads

Hummus
Beetroot Hummus
Calamari Salad
Glass Noodles with Seafood Salad
Roasted Duck with Lychee Salad

You’ve got your usual Salad options and you can mix everything you’d like in a bowl of course. Or you could try some of the great options from the Antipasti selection too!

Ready-mixed salads aplenty as well. Roasted Duck Salad with Lychee, Top Shell Salad, Green Mango Salad, Pineapple Salad with Chicken, Crabmeat Salad with Edamame and Smoked Duck with Raspberries & Walnut Salad are just some of the salads you might enjoy 😀

Popiah & Gado-Gado Station

Hainanese Chicken Rice Station

Roti Prata
LIVE Noodles Station Mee Siam
Satay Station
Shawarma Station

Here are a few more shots of the LIVE and specials stations. Y’all know about the, Roti Prata, Satay and Shawarma stations right? Check out the Popiah & Gago-Gado station too! And no need to gaduh-gaduh because there’s plenty of Gado-Gado to go around 😛 (I could not resist lah) Don’t forget the LIVE Noodles Station with treats like the signature Laksa and also others like Mee Siam and Mee Rebus too.

I was actually really impressed with the Hainanese Chicken Rice station! It’s been made up to looks like a legit Chicken Rice stall! You see the Roasted and Steamed chickens hanging there and they’re just inviting you… “Eat me.. Eat meeee!” 😛 Oblige them!

Believe it or not, only now we’re getting to the Mains! But first.. a special mention to a big favourite!

Chilli Crab

Wooooooooo is anyone else’s mouth watering right about now? ?

Chilli Crab is confirmed plus chop on the top of our list! Savour the flavour of the sweet and spicy gravy along with fresh crabs. Mop everything up with some Mantou on the side for extra kick! Finger-licking times ahead for sure!

Okay enough drooling and back to the rest of the dishes 😛

Braised Ee Fu Noodles

Wok-fried Chicken with Bell Peppers

Braised Vegetables with Mushrooms

Wok-fried Fish Fillet with Spring Onion and Ginger
Congee Station

Congee Station Braised Soya Eggs & Tau Pok
Yong Tau Foo with Hot Bean Sauce

The sections with the Asian delights holds many treasures! Stack up on dishes like Braised Ee Fu Noodles, Crabmeat and Egg white Rice, Mee Goreng or Spicy Fried Rice (to name a few) but be sure to to pair with other dishes ok!

Other interesting ones that I saw on the menu include Nyonya Beef with Cincaluk, Ayam Pongteh and Ayam Sioh – Nyonya favourites which are rarely seen on a Halal buffet line-up! Oh! And be sure to enjoy the Congee selection including the Braised Soya Eggs & Tau Pok and all assorted condiments too 😀

Roasted Vegetables with Herbs

Beef Stew

Mutton Briyani

Chana Masala

Chicken Curry

The Western and Indian sections round up the Mains for us. With Butter Chicken, Basmati Rice with Mutton, Fish Tikka Masala, Kadai Prawn, Goan Fish Curry, Mutton Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala – be sure to leave some space okay! Plan your feasting properly 😛

For the Western section, how to possibly resist Slow Baked Lamb Leg with Garlic Sauce, Roasted Sumac Chicken, Roasted Spring Chicken with Herbs, Baked fish with Tahini Sauce, Beef Meat Ball with Tomato Sauce, Turkish Stewed Beef and Roasted Vegetables with Herbs among others!

But speaking of leaving space… I am a firm believer that we have a separate section in stomach reserved just for DESSERTS! And trust me – you’re gonna need it 😀

Ice-Cream Uncle

Actually, as you walk into Atrium Restaurant, you’ll be greeted by the Ice-Cream Uncle 🙂 Indulge in some ice-cream in either a wafer of the all-time favourite Rainbow Bread! If you’re a ‘Desserts First’ person, this is a great start LOL but if not, come back later lah for dessert.

Durian Pengat
Fondue Fountain
Carrot Cake

Cheese Cake
Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch Cake

Desserts Station

Even for the Desserts, there are several mini-sections within the big area 😀 First, make a stop at the refrigerated section – favourites like Durian Pengat (!!!) and assorted cakes like Cheesecake, Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch Cake and Carrot cake are great choices. They also have special Cold Desserts like Honeydew Sago and Mango Pudding too.

Next section is the kinda like Traditional old-school section where you’ll find the classics. Kueh-Mueh like Putri Salat, Kueh Lapis and Ondeh-Ondeh await you alongside some old-school cookies too!

Finally, check out the section with fresh cut fruit and pair them with the Fondue Fountains for maximum shiok-ness! They’ve got Chocolate and Matcha Fondue Fountains! Also enjoy some hot desserts like Tau Suan, Green Bean Soup with Durian, Cheng Tng or Bubur Hitam too 😀

WOW WHAT A SPREAD!

While the some of the dishes are on a regular station, you have a pretty good idea about how awesome and diverse the spread is at Atrium Restaurant. You’ll be spoiled for choice so be sure to come with an extra empty stomach 😛

I also wanted to show you what I meant when I said that Atrium Restaurant is really spacious. It’s so vast that I had to break it up into 3 different photos! The first is the section after you just enter the restaurant and it stretches allllllll the way to the back! Thanks to the shape of the hotel, it curves so you get plenty of airy space and a view out the windows too 😀

I’m actually really glad that Atrium Restaurant at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium decided to have their restaurant certified Halal by MUIS. With such an impressive line-up of dishes, it’s little wonder that they are so popular. So many people have contacted us asking if they are certified Halal outside of the Ramadhan period. Well, now I can safely answer “YES!!!” LOL

And I repeat – their RESTAURANT is certified Halal (and not just their kitchen/stations). This means that alcohol (and any other non-Halal food/drink) is not allowed at all throughout the restaurant. Your experience at Atrium Restaurant is going to be a bit different compared to others for sure 😀
