Hey everyone we’re here to tell you about something we found really exciting! Or is it just us being jakun again??
Yeah we know Red Velvet cake has become all the rage over the past couple of years and we have seen in it so many forms. Cakes lah. Doughnuts lah. Cupcakes lah. But we have never seen in as a Pound Cake before! I’m not sure about you all lah but this is something new to us and we have actually never come across a Red Velvet Pound Cake before! Have you?
When someone says Pound Cake, the first thing that comes to mind is the Sara Lee Pound Cake which you buy frozen from the supermarket. So it’s nice to see that we can actually get it fresh from somewhere.
So the pound cake is Red Velvet (like duh) and it’s topped off with a very generous serving of cream cheese frosting. And on top of that – more Red Velvet crumbs in case you can’t get enough of it LOL
And when we say generous serving of cream cheese, we mean GENEROUS!!

Yeah we love a great Red Velvet cake but admit it – the cream cheese frosting plays a really big part right! And it’s probably just as important as the cake itself to most people (ourselves included hehehe)
But let’s not forget – this is a Pound Cake after all so expect it to be a little but more dense than a usual cake. And this also means don’t cut too big a slice for yourself cos it’s filling! Save some for later or better still – share with loved ones! Caring is sharing!
We also had the pleasure of trying the Choco Overload Pound Cake for all you lovers of a more classic Chocolate flavoured cake.
We’ve got a rich chocolate pound cake that is topped off with more delicious cream cheese and then chocolate chips and almond flakes round off the whole gang. Definitely something very rich and decadent!
So if you’re looking to take a break from the whole cupcake scene, then here’s definitely something you should consider. It’s great for office functions and events. It’s great for bringing as a gift for tea time visits or parties. And it’s definitely something you can get and have all to yourself on those days and nights where you just wanna plop down in front of the couch and watch a good show on TV with some cake.
